Library and Educational Support Services

The library and Educational Support Services (ESS) provide a variety of free services for students to discover their individual academic skills and to become self-sufficient, independent, life-long learners. Services are offered by Disability Support Services (DSS) learning specialists, Career & Technical Education (CTE) learning specialists, professional and peer tutors, and the Keystone Education Yields Success (KEYS) grant facilitator. The library and tutoring services are located in room 212. DSS and CTE learning specialists, and KEYS grant facilitator are located on the first floor. Tutors offer assistance in specific subject areas such as writing, math, and science. Learning specialists offer assistance in learning skills such as how to study, how to take a test, how to take notes in class, etc.

Librarians offer assistance with using library resources and with the research process. Librarians are also available at Main Campus at 610-799-1150.

Noncredit Career Pathways

The Donley Center offers noncredit programming to help students  enter a career pathway. GED preparation, GED testing, English as a second language, and short term job training programs.

The Donley Center site offers a variety of services for Spanish speaking students like English as a Second Language courses, bilingual and multilingual faculty and staff, and a wide variety of student support options in a number of subject areas. Additionally, LCCC’s ASPIRA first-year experience program supports Latino/a/x students during their transition to college.

Allentown Campus Parking

The Spiral Deck

Located in the 800 block of Linden Street
This 645 space deck is visually distinct due to the double ‘helix’ (corkscrew-like) design of the exit ramp. This deck is conveniently located for patrons of the shops and restaurants located in the vibrant 800 and 900 blocks of Hamilton Street.

Rate: $75 Per month, with corresponding permit. Daily parking rate is $1.00 per hour, with an $8.00 maximum charge for 24 hours. Special Event pricing may apply. Holds approximately 645 spaces & has a height clearance of 6’7”

 

Walnut Deck

Located at the corner of 9th & Walnut Streets
With more than 500 spaces, this deck also has an entrance from Maple Street, one from 9th Street and is conveniently located just to the south of Hamilton Street. Nearby businesses: Allentown Brew Works, Chickie & Pete’s, and Vince’s Cheesesteak

Rate: $75 Per month, with corresponding permit. Daily parking rate is $1.00 per hour, with an $8.00 maximum charge for 24 hours. Special Event pricing may apply. Holds approximately 514 spaces & has a height clearance of 6’8”

Government Deck

Located at 4th & Hamilton Streets
Built in 2007, this deck includes state-of-the-art parking technology that allows parkers to enter and exit the facility without an attendant being on-duty. Built to serve the needs of the government district.

Rate: $75 Per month, with corresponding permit. Daily parking rate is $1.00 per hour, with an $8.00 maximum charge for 24 hours. Special Event pricing may apply. Holds approximately 448 spaces & has a height clearance of 6’11”

Transportation Deck

Located at 6th & Linden
Also built in 2007, this facility includes a 470 space parking deck, an intermodal transportation center and a Dunkin Donuts. This is a self-parking facility which does not require an attendant. Conveniently located near the Allentown Art Museum, Baum School of Art and Allentown Symphony Hall.

Rate: $75 Per month, with corresponding permit. Daily parking rate is $1.00 per hour, with an $8.00 maximum charge for 24 hours. Special Event pricing may apply. Holds approximately 470 spaces & has a height clearance of 7’2”

Community Deck

Located at 13 South 6th Street
Completed in November 2015, this parking deck is located at 13 South 6th Street. Access is available from South 6th Street and Walnut Street. The Community Deck is NOT available for EVENT PARKING. Nearby businesses: 99 Bottles, The Archive, Assembly 88, Centro, Cork & Cage, Grain, The Hamilton, Jimmy’s Barber Shop, Michael’s Jewelers, Re*find, Sorelli Jewelers, and Starbucks.

Rate: $75 Per month, with corresponding permit. Daily parking rate is $1.00 per hour, with an $8.00 maximum charge for 24 hours. Special Event pricing may apply. Holds approximately 950 spaces & has a height clearance of 7’2”

Strata Deck

39 North 6th Street

Rate: $75 Per month, with corresponding permit. Daily parking rate is $1.00 per hour, with an $8.00 maximum charge for 24 hours. Special Event pricing may apply. Holds approximately 30 spaces. The upper has a height clearance of 8’ 10” and the lower has a height clearance of 7’6″ Nearby businesses: 99 Bottles, Allentown Parking Authority, Centro, Cork & Cage, Grain, Miller Symphony Hall.

Arena Deck

Located at approximately 712 West Linden Street. It holds approximately 860 spaces combined with Arena North & South. Arena North has a height clearance of 7’6” and Arena South has a height clearance of 7’2”. Transient parking only. Daily parking rate is $1.00 per hour, with an $8.00 maximum charge for 24 hours. Special Event pricing may apply. Nearby businesses:  Blow-Dry Bar, Chickie & Pete’s, The Dime, The Hamilton, PPL Center, Starbucks, and Tim Horton’s.
